Oceanika

Oceanika is one of the largest aquarium facilities in Poland, located within the Świętokrzyska Polana complex in Chrusty near Kielce. The project was designed as a group of large-volume aquariums presenting diverse aquatic ecosystems from around the world. The facility includes 10 tanks with a total capacity of approximately 250,000 liters of water, recreating biotopes such as Lake Malawi, the Amazon and the Great Barrier Reef.

Our scope included approximately 170 m² of aquarium decorations, designed to faithfully recreate the natural environments represented in the tanks. The works included extensive rock formations for the Malawi biotope, underwater decorations for the Amazon, artificial coral reef elements and scenery for the sharkarium. All decorations were designed for long-term operation in an aquatic environment, while maintaining a high level of realism and safety for the species on display.

The project required combining knowledge of artificial rock construction, aquarium technologies and biotope design. Each tank received individually designed scenery reflecting the geological formations and underwater landscapes found in nature. As a result, Oceanika became not only a tourist attraction, but also a place of nature education, allowing visitors to discover ecosystems from different parts of the world.

The project is an example of using artificial rocks and aquarium decorations to build modern biological exhibitions. The combination of durable materials, realistic sculpting and an individual approach to each tank made it possible to create a space that effectively combines educational, exhibition and aesthetic functions.
